2015 – A Year In Review (pt.1)

Part of starting a new year is wrapping up the old, and all things considered, I’d have to chalk 2015 up as a win. I was fortunate to be able to spend a week in the UK traveling between England and Scotland and was able to see some pretty amazing things as well as cross off a few items on the ol’ bucket list.

The picture above is a combination of a small handful of pictures that I took while I was there (including a shameless selfie in front of Edinburgh Castle), but there’s no way that all of the pictures that I took could actually do that trip justice considering everything we did and saw.

Visiting Scotland for the first time (some of the nicest people I’ve ever met, btw), and getting to see Arsenal play West Ham at the Emirates are just a couple of things that made that trip truly amazing.  Not to mention that I surprisingly enough was able to deal with a 7 hour flight without going stir crazy.

I think the best part of the trip is that it helped me to realize that travelling is truly good for the soul, and worth every single penny.  I think it’s so easy for us to pass on travel because of the price or the potential inconveniences that it may cause, but in the end I can’t think of a better way to spend the money or the time.  After all, we’re given a finite amount of time on this earth and we should probably make the best of it while we can.
